SEIKO

Japan's SII Printek/Seiko Epson was formed in 1985 by the merger of Suwa Seikosha Co,. Ltd and Epson. Its history can be traced back to the birth of the first quartz watch more than a hundred years ago. The combined Seiko Epson Corporation is a global manufacturer of printers, computers, watches, liquid crystal displays (LCDs), integrated circuits, electronics, crystals, optical products, and factory automation systems. Japan SII Printek Corporation is a subsidiary of Japan Seiko SEIKO, established in 2001. SII Printek purchased the rights to Xaar's patents and developed piezoelectric textile inkjet print heads based on Xaar's technology, which Xaar does not manufacture itself.
