Brother Kyocera/Brother Kyocera, a Japanese company, purchased the patent usage rights of Sail and Spectra from Brother and developed a piezoelectric inkjet print head based on shear motion. Kyocera is a major global supplier of piezoelectric ceramics. The two companies collaborated and jointly launched the KJ4 series inkjet print heads in 2008. This product has 2656 spray holes, making it one of the inkjet print heads with the highest number of spray holes and the fastest speed currently available. At present, the high-speed inkjet printing machines of Oshi, Miyao, and Domino all use the inkjet printing heads of the brother Kyocera.
